Hello! Katrina here.
I first started out as a freelance journalist covering hard news and diversions pieces. Then I moved on to renowned ad agencies like 72andSunny and TBWA\Media Arts Lab, as well as Emmy Award-winning production studios such as Prometheus Entertainment, primarily as a researcher and “creative” for projects like #shotoniP6 campaign, Jeep’s 75 Years and The UnXplained series on History Channel. Along the way, I’ve taken on roles like art director, copywriter, content producer, marketing manager, casting director, brand strategist and any other title with duties that stretch far and wide—working with brands like simplehuman, UO Home, TikTok, Forme, American Apparel, Zinque, stealth startups and more. At the core of it all, it’s about listening to data and telling a visual story.
In my spare time, I wander through unexamined thoughts, cities, books, estate sales; write plays; and spend time with my birds, while also helping with habitat restoration whenever I can. Recently, I finished an artist residency with Concerning Landscape, an initiative of No Canyon Hills, a project to protect native species from land development in Verdugo Hills.
Current personal projects include a mini documentary on butterfly conservation and a play.
